Virginia Spalter
Hot Glass Artist

Virginia Spalter moved from Michigan to Florida with her family in the early nineties. With a strong desire to create, she worked with such mediums as charcoal & ink drawing, painting, pottery, silversmithing and photography. Finding one medium to study has always been a challenge and she continues to experiment with all while following her passion in the glass world. She blends her love of color and style seamlessly into each piece to create unique works of glass. Her ever evolving designs of contemporary bowls, sushi sets, platters, artful tablescapes and wonderful funky wearable art keep her work fresh and inspiring, setting her apart in the glass industry. Virginia's journey into the glass world began in the fall of 2004. She created her company name "On The Virg Designs" in the fall of 2005. Growing up in the suburbs of Detroit inspired her current body of work "In The City" as she explores the colorful side of glass and living in the city. This body of work was showcased in the Brandon Regional Library's "Art Under Glass" exhibit during the month of June 2009.

Her work is now available at
The Creative Native Gallery.
